Carrying around the SLR camera can be a pain at times due to the size. I’d rather carry my Ixy Digital 900 IS but the lens is kinda crap compared to the SLR. I was thinking that there must be some sort of adapter available for digital cameras which allowed a better lens to be attached and came across these.

Não, não sou um pessimista exacerbado ou um ultra-cretino que tenta gorar tudo. Sou realista. Associo o que vejo, o que sei, o que leio, o que vivi à realidade brasileira. Ainda assim duvida, então entenda.

One of the most requested Gmail features was the addition of IMAP support. POP is nice, but IMAP is a much better option. Among the advantages, you’re always connected to the server, more clients can connect to the same account, you can obtain the text from a message without the attachments and the state information is synchronized (you can add labels from the client, read or delete a message and Gmail will synchronize).

Industrial designer Roger Arquer came up with four ideas for a non-lethal mousetrap using household objects such as lightbulbs, paper clips, springs and pint glasses. And, of course, cheese. Check the gallery below for his ingenious devices.

Recently, Chef Fabian was experimenting further with the Adria/Torreblanca technique of making ‘vodka pills.’ I use this word to describe the process of making liquid-filled candies by pouring flavored alcohol syrups into cornstarch and letting it set until a hard outer shell forms. The process is simple, but requires great attention to certain details and a clean approach. Actually, there is more than 1 way to achieve this. Fabian’s method employs a little of each different method.

One of my favorite Photoshop features is the Smart Object one. It has saved me a lot of time because you can avoid repetitive tasks. It’s perfect when you design template web pages with temporary content placeholders etc. But that’s just one advantage…

Just a tip I spent some time on figuring out: Found information today on how to use TortoiseSVN to manage svn:externals. I’m working on a big project where we need many different branches and parts to use the same css and images libraries throughout all subprojects.
