The new version of Gmail I was talking about the other day is already available in some Gmail accounts. If you see a link to an “older version” at the top of the page, that means you can enjoy the new features: mail prefetching, updated contact manager and other small updates.

A friend just contacted me. He’s thinking of adding an Elliott Erwitt print to his small but high-quality photograph collection (I know he’s smiling at that description, since he owns a couple of my prints), and he wanted my input as to which ones are my favorites.

The definition of ISO is based only partly in the physical sensitivity of film or sensor. ISO is a judgment about what exposure will produce the best results, on average, with a particular medium of capture. ISO is a compromise.

When i read that Os Gêmeos were having a solo show in Milan, i nearly fell off the chair. I wasn’t expecting it. Not that the guys aren’t everywhere, they were part of the The Graffiti Project which invited Brazilian artists to paint the walls and turrets of the south side of Kelburn Castle in Glasgow, i discovered their huge mural in Berlin, they’ve exhibited at Art Basel Miami in 2005, etc. but while looking for exhibitions to check out this week in Milan and Turin, i found so many “recycling”: yesterday i saw the Gilbert & George retrospective at the gorgeous Castello di Rivoli, yes that’s the same show which took place at the Tate Modern in Spring.

I have a wide angle lens that works ok when held up to the Canon TX1 - but instead of manually holding up I made a couple rings which are now a sort of makeshift adapter.

Artist Edina Tokodi’s idea of graffiti, or gra(ss)fiti rather, invites the viewer to explore with touch and reclaim a bond with nature. These works of greenery really pop in contrast to the surrounding condo-clustered Brooklyn neighborhood of Williamsburg, sheathed in steel, glass, pavement, and stone…and a handful of bed-headed hipsters.

This graffiti covered building is located in New York along the route of train 7 which goes from Flushing to Times Square. The artists did a great job on this building, it looks amazing. The sign on the door says you can only paint on this building if you get a permit so I’m guessing this was a project by graffiti artist to paint the whole building or something like that.
